Cover for ebook
Doing the final reformating, editing and proofing for my ebook didj manual. Thought I'd share the cool cover art Steve did for me here.
Re: Cover for ebook
that's really cool!! i'll have to check that one out! i need a didj first, though haha. i would use a lighter font on that maybe...white or pale yellow. but that's up to you. and i wanted to ask about that didj site you told me about before. i had it in my favs, but i lost the link to it(when i switched computers). i have really been wanting to give it a try...i need something new to do with myself lol. i love that drone sound...it's so hypnotic!

Hi Ginja,
I think I was telling you about my home page which is http://www.EdDrury.com which should give you plenty to start with. I agree about the font colour. Maybe will try yellow ocher?

Actually, I think I remember our conversation about didj shopping and the link I gave you was to www.laoutback.org . Following your suggestion I took two more stabs at the cover titles.

thanks, ed!
and the new cover titles look better...easier to read, and it will come out nicer, if printed.
cool site, by the way! i didn't realise how many IOMAs you've got! i wish they still did those. i think the company is gone now, but would be cool if someone else picked that up and got them going again! the music just keeps getting better and better!!

Re: Cover for ebook
i just bought my first didj!! i'm so excited to try it out! i got a bamboo one . i'm not sure how long it will take to ship...squeals with excitement! haha
i can't get videos to work still, so i'll have to do some reading on "how to"...which is basically how i figured out the j-harp : )) . my next buy might be some claves...it would be cool not having to program those and instead, play them...clickity clack! clack! clack!

i will check out your e-book, ed!! i have asthma myself, and find breathing exercises help a great deal with my lung power. especially when i sing. i'm hoping i can get that circular breathing technique down! i kind of get the idea of how to play it. i'm so anxious to get my didj! i think i ordered it Thursday afternoon...
this is me and waiting haha

Re: Cover for ebook
thanks and you are welcome!
i was looking at some of the aboriginal bone artwork on laoutback and it reminded me of the cover i did for our collab. i thought i'd rework it for ye. i love the jumping roo one the best ! http://www.laoutback.com/Framed_Aboriginal_Bone_Art_s/68.htm
i should be getting my didge soon...i had to e-mail them, since i hadn't got it, yet it said it had been processed already. so one of the guys said, it had went through okay, but some reason the thingy didn't get sent to their e-mail. so they sent it out for me last night...now i can track it. accidents will happen, i guess. so i can't wait to start playing! let me know when you have your book posted.

Re: Cover for ebook
Thanks Jen, book should be posted in a few days if I got the format right and my open office exported a good enough word file for the meat grinder. I've kinda decided to add a glossary to it which shouldn't take too much time.
Re: Cover for ebook
well...i got my beautiful didge today. i've been playing it a bit. it's not as easy as i thought. i can't circular breath like the instructions say to. i can get the drone going for as long as my lungs can handle...and i can do the toots and tongue rolls...but that's about it for now.

Very auspicious start! Believe me, I've heard the early stages of thousands of beginners and you are well ahead of most. Don't stress on the circular breathing, it will come with practice. Just keep blowing and the dream will come.
Re: Cover for ebook
