Dave Brock's Gear

Look out for the Jaguar Peter

"The Fender Jaguar which he was using in the mid-70’s (left) is a guitar which is said to have a superb rhythm tone. I think it must be this guitar on Kings of Speed (Astounding Sounds, 1976), which has a really powerful snarl to it."

Very true....I used the Jag a lot on the Stargazer album and it captured the Brock sound very well.

Interesting mix of guitars that he used....I remember him using Gibsons.

I didn't know he used Westones....in fact I didn't know anyone famous used Westones because they were a very cheap guitar. Just shows that you can get a good sound from a cheap guitar.
You can probably still find cheap Westones on e-bay....must check that out
