outside shots are a challenge up here. no sun for days and it's snowing again.
we passed 60" of snow so far the other day, more on the way.
probably going to:
use the SG for dropC (metal rhythms)
move the X back to A440 (metal leads)
set up the Dean for C# (Sabbath Tuning -- metal rhythms and leads)
and leave the Fenders at A440 (blues, rock, progressive)
that will give me a good range of tones and tunings.
I might take the top pickup out of the Dean. I need to find out what it is.
I don't use it anyway with the Dimebucker in there.
I think instead of a pickup in that spot I'll just put a picture of a guy screaming....
like this:

I have a pro photographer girlfriend up here..... jessi.
she does it full time now.
I'll get you some great shots!
But it really has been dark up here for the last month.
I will be putting a nice pickup in the neck positon on the Dean.
The one that is in there now is total crap.
Just looked at it this morning.
Looks like it came out of a $100 Chinese guitar.
I might go Seymore Duncan for that. Maybe a shred pickup or a pearly gates or something.

Inverts KILL!
THANKS.
Yes, SDs would be great in there.
EMGs also.
Im useing the "great-guitar-pic" and "link-to-a-tune" tricks when i start "selling" guitars..AND the "not-low-price" thing also. putting the money on them......"Slow-Sellers"..
I need enuff money to buy another and fix it up, and pay a bill.
ENJOY fixing guitars up...need to get money coming off them to keep going.
That i "fix" them up, gives me parts to sell along the way also.
Sometimes one can make ALOT of the parts, when they cant sell the guitar.
Anyway.

Re: Z's current line-up of Electrics
So far the best neck pickup I've heard that would go good with the
Dimebucker on the Razorback is the Dimarzio LiquiFire.
It would be SUPER SWEET if you did a FUNGUS Guitar line!
There are tons of people that buy guitars just because they look cool.
And you can make sure they play great too....
Send one to Paul and you would NOT be able to keep up with demand.

Re: Z's current line-up of Electrics
Really those arnt bad pix...But yes..Brenda and I say. A Good pic, make the subject look way better than it really does. that works great on knowing if you get a good shot... Its about 1 out of 7 shots, one will really POP the subject. Whats cool is, you only need one really good pic.
There is VERY much an ART to taking pix of gear. Hard subject to get looking right.

Re: Z's current line-up of Electrics
Nice Strat Z......a modern classic
Would like to hear you use it more.....particularly using the neck PU which should be nice and creamy I think.
I have had a couple of Tele's with Maple necks and they are a brighter sound than a rosewood board. I prefer the sound of a rosewood board myself....but it's just personal taste.
Been playing a bit with my Les Paul for a change while I wait for my AXL guitar to come which should be Monday.
Great big fat neck and big jumbo frets.....so different to a Fender....but I like them both for different reasons.
I think you would like a Les Paul.....for your sound it would be great
You could probably find a nice Greco if you hunted around or the better Epiphones are nice.
A Greco would be at least 20 years old though and well played in. The white paint on mine has yellowed quite nicely over the years giving it a more vintage look like a relic.
