slow

Pretty slow around here......
I've been sick for a week, but starting to come out of it.

Studio is a mess, but I'm cleaning and organizing slowly.

Hope everyone is doing well. Or as well as can be expected anyway.

I'm good! PC almost back to normal, got some new virtual synths from Native Instruments (Some cool free stuff on their site!) Might even start recording at the weekend

Glad to hear you are recovering z......and also that Steve is getting back on his feet too.

I've recorded a new track yesterday and also remixed and mastered an existing one as I have been looking at what to put on my next Global Trancemission album.

I've made quite a few tracks this year but I like my album tracks to fit together more or less themed or creating the right flow.

So far I have got 5 definite tracks so I am about halfway there but now I have a clear idea of an album coming together I aim to make 5 more new tracks so its all fresh.

To be honest.................I'm not selling anything at the moment....everythings gone completely dead and you are the only guys that appear to still be listening to my music.

Still..........I've been there before and sometimes it just takes time and patience but I really need to find a better way to promote my music.

It doesn't matter how good your music is if nobody is hearing it !!!!!

Yeah, these things go in cycles. I'm selling one here and one there, and giving some away for promo.
I sure hope it picks up for you. There are places you can buy ads, but in my experience that isn't worth it.
Maybe just some self-promo on the right groups? Are their fan bases out there of Ambient Space listeners
that all hang out on Facebook or Myspace or something?

We stop posting and replying, it gets slow.
We dont invite, it stays slow.

If Its not slow, nobody has time to keep up.

So all is fine then. Slow is part of FOS, and other sites.

I think its fair to say that there are four regular posters here when things are flowing:
That's DACE, Z, Steve and myself.

DACE ......posted that he was taking a break.
Z........... Unwell and was re-arranging studio.
Steve.............Fixing computer.
Myself.............Nothing new to post or answer and trying to look at promotion and working on new album.

It has been a combination of all these things that have made FOS very quiet lately....not any one particular reason.

Speed up...........Slow down.........its not really controllable when you get this kind of situation happening.

Myself..........I try to look at all new and unanswered posts each day and respond to most where I can.....particularly if a track is posted. I create new posts when I have something interesting or a new track. I know that all of you do the same too.

What am I saying ????..........Well I just think that things will come together as soon as everybody has cleared up things that are holding them back.
None of us are likely to drift away.

Ok heres whar we (Should ) do, not have to or will.

Works as TEAM for 3 things Pur own music, AFR, and FOS..(Promoting.)
Bloging, PM people inviting them here. EACH on the sites they use.

DACE- FB- promoing AFR, inviting people like Mark, Sly, ones that can be team players. Promoing AFR tunes, my tunes and FOS tunes and postings.
2- same on MIX....Some on soundclick. (Myspace soon).

Z- FB posting on all 3 of these things. AFR-FOS-Music-his and ours.

Peter...Setting up a web page for FOS people to promo there works. And links to there other sites, AND FOS. And Peter might could get active on Soundcloud..getting people to our Group there, and inviting them here.

Steve doing the same on MIX, Soundclick, and site he go's to that we dont..Even his art sites.

NonActive members here, that come in every day but dont post. They should post and join in.

I have been doing this allready slowly..doing more now.

We should ALL, on our own sites we use, promo- Our music, our friends music, AFR, and FOS forum. Blogs, PMing, ect...

Work as a team to build a music-wotld for us.

NOT a have to, just a should do. Will this happen...Well, it never has before..But sure could, and would be wonderful for all of US and our MUSIC.

Its HOW you spend your time, NOT how much you have to spend. Everyone here is online most days.

In a few days i will post links to all te places (I) promo...Each has there own sites to do this.

A blog-thread would be good also..that way we could each gab each others blogs to post around.

I suggested setting up a site not long ago and it can be done.....although it might take time to get this all going.....but it would be worthwhile.
With a site you can then link it to the FOS forum easily by just creating a big link button where nobody can miss it so that anyone who finds the site will also find the forum.

I assume that we would be a bit selective about who we target......we really are looking for people who might fit in here both musically and the way we do things. We need to avoid troublemakers to some degree.

I am about to make a new post which has some very important information for you all to help distribution and sales so make sure that you read it and digest it.....it is so cool.
