I have 2 ways to save projects, and tested them both. I THINK. you need (Project with external audio) ?? this gives you all the tracks in a folder and the ACID file...Zip it of course.

The other is Project with embedded audio///this would not even open up for me???

ONE IMPORTANT THING on the vocals. I have found that after a few days of listening to a vocal recording, i can sing it WAY better...So it might take a week to get my take better. But im getting it down better, So. i figg it out.

Z got started on the lyric. they are cool...

DACE: Forget the acd-zip file and read on.

As long as you make sure that you tick the box at the bottom " Copy all Media with Project"
as shown below (unticked) with a red box around it then it will work.

FOS PROJECT - Page 2 Acidfileselect

This will save the ACID file you are working on and all of the audio tracks together in the same folder.

It would be best if you create a new folder (maybe called FOS) so that the files do not get mixed in with anything else.

When its ready just zip the entire folder and get it to me by Rapidshare or Sendit.

I should be able to open it up and commence work exactly where you left off......COOL !!!

When I receive it I will arrange to send a revised copy to Steve so that he can write some parts for me to add but until I have your file its best if I decide how to do that later.
It should not be a problem and I will work it out with Steve to get his parts in there.

If not you can get ACID Xpress 7 free from http://www.acidplanet.com

As long as 10 tracks is enough that will work.....if not then we can find a way round it somehow.

The only thing that stops me using Acid express 7 more than I do is that the final output is limited to 128Kb.

Yes...Z is very busy.....I have so many probs to get sorted, new truck, guitars, bills, ect.

Z got me the lyrics. Smile

Gona take some time. Be a week before i get my guitar. And take a while to get the vocals right and all.

Might take the rest of the year to get it done. not going to be a fast thing.

I dont know? might be to much for everyone? Think it would be worth it in the end.
Im kinda up and down in mood. Im having a hard time right now. I feel like im gona let everyone down with anything i do.

Arrrrrrrgggggggaaaaa.....Im just old and wore down i guess.

One thing at a time.

DACE......old and wore down ?????.....I'm 14 years older than you so what am I then Very Happy

If you are busy at the moment with things then that's OK....we just put everything on hold and do it another time.

I am happy to pick it up and run with it whenever you are ready so there is no need to rush.

I don't really see where there project is going to be very much different from doing a collab like you normally would from your perspective if you break it down simply.
Perhaps we got a bit too complicated in trying to analyse too much.

Broken down simply:

Z would start with simple drums, bass and rhythm guitar.

Dace adds vocals and guitars.

Save ACID file and all of the audio files.
I don't care how you do that part as long as you can send me the ACID file and all of the audio tracks (wavfiles) that you have in the project.

Send to me and I will arrange for Steve to add his parts.

The rest then comes to me to put it all together and produce and master it.

It's not rocket science !!!!!

Like I said..........if time and stress is an issue for you then fine we can put the whole thing on hold and do it when you are ready.

Way I see it is that there is no point in doing this if it is going to put too much pressure on you........and that applies to any of you.

I possibly will have the hardest task here but I am still ready to go. Each of you must make your own minds up about what you want to do.

Whatever you decide is fine with me and I will understand. Smile

Peter..Its how my life is, and has been a long time. Im just getting tiered of the "fight" life brings. I think i let my Faith get a tad weak..I can build that up easy enuff..Smile

And look, all this stuff makes our music what it is. We all put our feelings into our art. we cant put it on hold. Im just letting everyone know where im at, how i feel, ect.

I DO feel this great feeling im gona let people down in my life right now. WHY?...I do NOT know...I dont have to anything for anyone...But i feel this none the same.

I think its really not that i dont want let people down, i think its i want to impress them. Give them something they never thought i had.

Im just confused with myself and how to give what i want to give. I want to give GREAT, BIG, AWESOME thinngs to people.

This project is perfect...I dont want slap something out..i want greatness...Im putting it on myself, but one has to, right? how can you do great things if you dont put alot into them????

Thanks for the kind, thoughtful words Peter. We need to work thru this.

(SO FAR) We have - The lyrics, and some clean guitar. Both are perfect.
Bass next when z gets the time.

Thats OK DACE I understand.

We are all different and we all do things different ways.

I have no problem putting projects on hold but I should not have assumed that others could do that.

So....You and Z just go ahead and carry on at your own pace and post updates when you can.

When it's ready for me I'll be here Smile

Sounds good.

I should have something to Dace by end of week.

Work is just being a problem. It always sucks when I have to be the "voice of reason"
I'm usually the "voice of sarcasm" around here....

So, my current project is exploding....
