Cool.. Sampling and looping the hard way!

Yeah, I love all those early days of recording stories!

Like the looper Gilmour used that had something like 8 tape loops
and 8 heads to accomplish what we do today with a chip.

Sometimes the primitive approach is better.
Like actually recording in a cave instead of using a "Cave Reverb" plugin.

We are going on a little retreat with Janicek soon, two days completely isolated from the outside world, just music, playing, rehearsing and maybe some recording, can't wait!

Jaques (drums) Henk (bas) and Jana are in Czech Rep. right now, planning our 2011 tour, hope we get our new guitarist ready by then, and if not, I just play a little louder, no problemo!

btw, this reminds me of a Marillion album, "Brave", the guys just rented a castle for three months, stacked it full with equipment, and just decided to go with the flow! Best album ever.

Been meaning to watch this vid ever since you posted it Z!

Back in '77 I was loosely in a relationship with a couple of girls (one was away at university) and I'd sort of got back with an ex when along came her friend. Yeah you guessed it I started to go out with her as well (wish I was 20 again!!) anyway I always got the DJ to play "I'm not in Love" for us. 2 years later we got married (still are) and her friend was a bridesmaid. (come to think of it I dated the other Bridesmaid for a time too!)

So this song brings back some real happy memories to me
