DACE UPDATE

Just talked to Dace on the phone.
He is doing well.

Had a snafu with the bank. Some of the gear he bought took money out of his account (eCheck)
instead of out of PayPal, so when he went to pay Earthlink (internet) it failed. So he is offline now.
Will probably be online again within 2 weeks.

In other news, Lucindra sent him a keyboard (I think he said it's a Roland X-50?)
Peter probably knows how cool those are. Dace is pretty impressed with it and enjoying it.

That would be the XP50......and thats a nice piece of kit....pro standard and a great bread and butter synth.

The actual synth engine is the same as the famous Roland JV1080 Rack which I have in my studio and still use for many things. Fantastic Pianos, Organs, and emulations of real instruments and great synth sounds too.
And it takes Expansion Cards if you can find them.....I have Vintage Synths and Techno installed in mine

The XP50 is a full keyboard version in the form of a complete workstation with a built in sequencer so that you can use it live and do complete tracks on it.

Of course that is assuming it is an XP-50..........it could be a Roland D50 .....LOL.

D50 is much earlier but is also a desirable synth that is becoming collectable. Similar sounds to my JD800 synth without all the controls and weaker filters.

Hell......you just cannot go wrong with a Roland

I have 2 tracks to load i did with the Roland......Its just TO COOL to play with.

"Cool" is not NEAR enuff a "word" for them... AWESOME! is near there...AWESOME!

Its the one with 2-expansion borads, and Pedal.. Pitch-bend, its crazy 'neat'.

Im be trippin over it, FOR SURE!~

Im going to "Over-use" them......I want layers of shit floating around the guitars. Like Space, very active, allways moving and flowing.

I've got a Roland JV1080 Rack with 2 Expansion cards and its pretty much the same synth in a rack .

My 2 cards are Vintage Synths and Techno..............the Vintage Synths one is superb.
