Crimson Sky
I think I did pretty good on the drum programming in this one.
It's a little rough around the edges but has a lot of energy.
I turned down the rhythm guitar but it probably needs to go down more....
This is all Dean guitar: rhythm is the invader pickup. all leads except the one in the middle is the dimebucker.
middle break is both pickups.
yeah you were there
and so was I
as the war machines
made the crimson sky
now breathe in
the acrid smell
as the human race
goes straight to hell
close your eyes
and cry a tear
as humanity gives
way to fear
yeah you were there
and so was I
as the sun went down
under crimson skies
yeah hear the men
yeah hear their cries
as darkness falls
on a crimson sky

Re: Crimson Sky
Very Black Sabbath Z both in style and lyrics. Good Song.
Drum programming is good as it drives along with the riff and the fills are good too.
As you say a little rough but that's in the mixing......the drums need to come up more as well as your other adjustments....but a few tweaks is all it needs.
Guitars sound great.

Thanks Peter! Dead on, on the Black Sabbath -- the Dean is tuned to C# (Iommi tuning).
Glad you like the guitar sounds. At least one of the breaks is a bit out of tune because I need another spring
for the whammy (and I was being kind of rough with it).
Also it drops way down in volume leading into some of the breaks, so I need to adjust that.
It took me about three hours to program the drums, because I hand-quantized and programmed every note.
You were right Peter, the snare helps a TON.
There is also currently no bass guitar because I had to sleep......

No excuse Z.....if you're going for Black Sabbath you gotta remember.....

True dat. Next thing you know I'll say I'm low on blood....

Love it Z!! Cool lyrics, wicked guitar, and drums sound real good too!
I'm still looking for a drum machine that I can actually understand how to program the damn thing! LOL! If I get desperate for some beats, I just found out my Sister's been having drumming lessons for the last year!! She only lives 2 miles away and she's got a drum kit!!!

Thanks!
It took me over 3 hours to get the drums the way I wanted them....
But it sounds a lot better than just grabbing 2 loops and alternating.
I might have to get me an electronic kit and learn how to play it so I can record the
MIDI from it. But they take up a lot of space, so I will just do it this way for now.
I have a method now that works pretty good. Just need to keep learning.
