(my) cords, and how to use them?
There where ALL my lead lines come from.
There lined up that way.
Cords and lines are the same.
Cords 2 fingers, Lines one.
I could do a Video of them, and how they fall in a line for me.
I made these up when i strated playing..First week i changed the bar-cord thing up.
I was off to a MIGHTY start in that move.
ALL my cords, iv used the WHOLE time iv played.(30 plus)
Did NOT play ANY leads for 12 years..JUST my cords.
There the "frame-work" to my music, guitar-wise.
This is HOW i keep doing new sounding music or styles.
I just use the FIRST SHIT i learned to play guitar with.
AMAZED at this really.
Its like building a house, simple tools.
You build from the GROUND UP!
You start out as GOOD as you can, and build off yourself.
Every time you build a house, like a song, you do it differently, if not only in thought of it.
Its ALL very ZEN like, as is LIFE.

To do this, IMPROV is a MUST! Open to the moment. In your Life, the most.
Music is only "part" of us. Theres a "magic" we get also.
One must SEE/HEAR what they do with sound and vibrations.

My health right now has me thinking in new ways.

The guitar sounds SO good on it own!
I TRY to stay out of its way. Because they SING, you have to be careful how and when you hit the things.

I really dont feel theres a "wrong" way to play a guitar.
SO, there cant be a "right" way then either, Right?

And that is why we sound so different.
ALL of what I do is based on Scales. Mostly Pentatonic Scales that I learned a long long time ago.
I know a lot of three string chords too, but I still think in scales.

That is part of why alternate tunings are hard for me (unless all the strings are dropped the same amount).
Because I am used to being able to play my scale across all 6 strings, and then move up and down the neck
to change keys.

So I can do that in A440 tuning, and C# tuning (because all the strings are dropped the same amount).
But in DropC it's different and my scales don't work (which is why I generally only do rhythm in DropC).

Yes, i know, ill think on how to show you in video.
HHHmmm..Yep...took me a month.
It a shift of you scales, but everything is the same.
BUT..Ya got to STAY in the key of C.
Them droped ones are you "dron".
So....Anyway..let me work it up.

C is my FAVE tuning for EVERYTHING..really is WIDE..
ITs MIDDLE C!
Its like a keyboard.
440 is great, and i use it still.
but C is so killer for guitar playing.
ONCE ya get it, you will see what im saying.

I really would like to see all your chords DACE

I use Chords as Power chords for Rock or Finger picked for more subtle music and I will sometimes use bits of chords in my lead playing.But I do stick to fairly common chords .....major, minor, 7th, min7th, 9ths for Blues and a few others if I find they fit.

Lead stuff is Pentatonic Minor and Major and Blues Scales....also some modal scales ....I use Aeolian a lot and Mixolydian sometimes too. Occassionaly some Eastern and Exotic scales get thrown in too

Let me work something up.

I can't explain how I come up with chords, I'll hear something in my head and just start playing.
I do gravitate to the minor keys and stick to basic chords with some extras thrown in. it's weird,
I have it all in my head from all the lessons I had when I was a kid but I can't explain it even if I wanted to. lol

Yes, and understood.
Nothing I do is hard, it all very simple things.
I think the reason someones music sounds as it does is the creative-side they have.
Not so much there skill on the insterment.

Agree.
I will do a few "How I Do It" video clips as well.
Time permitting....

Finishing up the novel--about 4 hours of work left before I start sending it to people.
So I hope to be done with that by Friday.
