Dark Matter

Hard on the ears, Dark Ambient is often dificult to listen to but fun to make, allowing the musician to go places not normally visited.
Sounds pretty horrorable, just an experement really

I enjoyed it, though I probably listen to more dark ambient music than most. I didn't find it all that dark, but definitely ambient and a nice ride to experience.

Thanks Ed. I used the Native Instruments Kore player and twiddled knobs!!

Good to see you back making music Steve......and even better to see you experimenting with your sounds.

Some people might class this as Dark Ambient but usually Dark Ambient is characterised by feelings of loneliness,despair , isolation and fear. I felt that your piece was more of a Soundscape and it felt to me like a journey through space. Rather like a storm or a meteor shower outside a fast moving starship.

Its a good effort which I feel would benefit from adding some pads to turn it more into an Ambient Space track instead of a soundscape. I use these type of soundscapes quite often behind tracks to create atmospheres.

A worthwhile experiment Steve.....very cool

Thanks for your input Peter, I will try to expand on this track with some doom laded pads and see what comes out.

Look forward to hearing what you do with it Steve.....Doesn't have to be doomy unless that's what you want.

Just work with some pads and see what comes out best.....you might surprise yourself
