Steve Vai is an indie artist 100%. Has been since he went solo.
I post his Xmass-Card EVERY year. (wish i saved them all)

I look up to Steve as a (PERSON). Yes he is VERY artistic, and can play a guitar better than any man on earth, but its him as a person i admire SO much!
