Not sure this all works together, but it felt good.

Another slice of darkness.

In The Cobwebs by Thaedeus

yeah I will look for you
my inner light is true
and we will be as new
in the cobwebs

deep down inside your eyes
there is a bridge of sighs
yes babe we will arise
in the cobwebs

come take my hand again
yes we will breathe again
who says the dead can't win
in the cobwebs

and I will start your heart
and we will never part
then I will kiss your lips
in the cobwebs

Good to hear you recording again z Smile

Nice dark tones on this one. The guitars are sinister and work well. The tone on the lead guitar works better on this track with the heavy riffing.
Interesting lyrics....rather strange.

Two things I should mention.....the drum loop needed more variation as it never changes.....and the song seems to end on the wrong note with the guitar seeming to end mid riff.

Other than that good song...very original.

Thanks Peter! Yeah I agree about the drums. I programmed them this time (2 tracks) instead of using loops, and I was lazy.
The guitar part at the end was an afterthought. I was trying to mix in a few unusual progressions that violate the overall key.
Might change it up a bit. Drums def. need improvement.

Not sure where the lyrics came from. Before I wrote one note I named the song "Cobwebs"
And then when I did the descending chord thing G-F#-F I heard "In The Cobwebs" so I wrote that down.
The rest might be about a theme I use a lot (recapturing lost love / bringing back the dead).
Not sure. I just write down what comes to me and then modify it just enough to fit.

Love the mix..good rise and fall, in and outs of insterments.

Guitar tones are TOP! Just LOVE your guitar-sound-Z!!! KIK!
Bass sounds GREAT! round and deep! Go's great with your guitar-sound.

Its very good how you left spots for just the music. Then the vocals come back in sounding super! Like how you sing slower on this. I would say try to slow even more. Take your time with a (word) draw it out....Relax and slow down while singing. Use you reg-voice, them a lower tone, as you did here. And breakup your phrases and repeat them once, or part of them.

Drums are fine to me. I like tunes with simple drums tho. I do that alot, and just add (hits) cymbals, rims, after the tune is done where the vocal starts, or a guitar riff starts. I like the drums like this really, it let the music "standout" better.

This is a very cool and different tune from you. Its getting near what im working with. I like that. You mixed the insterments very well. left good space here and there. Slow your "drawl" on words, leave a gap between phrases, and have two tones, or pitches to your voice-soung..Reg, and Low...

Guitar sound and playing are SUPER AWESOME! Great Vocal take also! And the Mixing is SWEET! Nice bass sound and line.
Also a cool mood or vibe to this.

Yes! I agree, GREAT to hear a tune from you Z!

Great advice Dace. Thanks!

Yeah I am trying to branch out a little with the way I do vocals
and the way I put guitar parts together.

This was all Telecaster through the Line6 (mostly because the other
guitars are in their cases and my studio is still a mess).

Works for me, Z. Love the lyrics, and the percussions are melodic in their own right.

Me also Z....Im going to start useing my free-time during the week on music, the studio, and putting sets and songs together for gigs.

Next week im gona get a few things for the control room. Just stuff i need, power-bars, cords, and some keys...Im gona set aside "Studio-Time" for each day. Gona get Mike once a week a work with him on mellow music, (A-440). And gona get Danny up once a week also.

The weekends are full for me but the weekdays I have a few hours to just do music and be an "artist" and take advantage of my studio and life.

Gabby want to put together something also, so talking with him about that alot.

Tom will get here in a few months, and we get CRAZY into it.
