Yes it has been on and off the last few days.
Peter, there only like 8 tracks to this Album, and there short tunes, like 4-5 mins.
And a vary alot in style. To get the overall view of this, be best to listen thru the album. Ofcourse when you have the time to do so.
Like to hear what you think. I am rather proud of these tracks. And there very much inspired by you and KJP, and some of Nigels old spacey tracks.

Think Steve would like them also...And the FREE to DL..Smile (i think)? should be.

DACE....I had not heard any of these so they are all fresh to me. Most of 2009 I was away from music .....not making any not even listening to any....and away from the Anubes.
2008/2009 was a very dark time for me and towards the end of 2009 I took up music again......it restored my sanity Smile

So these are all completely new to me. I remember first hearing your music on the old Mixposure when you were making short chilled out jazzy space tracks. The talent was there then and the groundwork for this style was laid.

I know that you are now doing a different style to this but I have to say that this personally for me is the very best work I have heard from you. I absolutely love it DACE. I have downloaded it all immediately.....it's fantastic.....it captures Spacerock just as much as my Darkstarcruiser tracks in a more modern way.

I don't know if you've ever heard any Ozric Tentacles but this is very much like a lot of their tracks.....and they are one of my absolute favourite bands.

Have a listen....and bookmark this site where you can find and play whole albums:

http://www.we7.com/#/artist/Ozric-Tentacles

If you listen to the Ozrics you will hear where a huge amount of my influence comes from regarding my synthesisers on the Rock tracks.

I really hope Steve picks up this post .......he will really like your album too.

Please...Please....Please.....make more tracks like this............I'm in Space Heaven Smile Smile Smile Smile Smile

It makes since alot now, at this time...What happened here is we both inspired each other to do music in a set-style.

I inspired you to do guitar in your music. And at the Anubes you uploaded a few tunes with your guitar on them and i was VERY inspired to do some music like that.

You left out, I did this Album. So we both helped each other do some cool music.

This holds true for me online..Theres at least an Albums worth Z inspired out of me, and a TON Nigel did.

This is WHY, (For me), its SOOOOOO IMPORTANT to listen to others...I get truned on and run with that in my music. Ofcourse not copying, just turning there way so to speak.

I cant tell you HOW HAPPY i am you LOVE this Music Peter!!! You see, that makes me want to give you that. It makes me inspired again..Smile As you Darkstar album did. And its connected to this whole story. And that the name of mine is (Space in Time)..Smile pretty cool how we need each other, and feed off each other with our music.

SO, that is ONE good thing we get from the OMDS..They wont sell our music, but can inspire music out of that might sell..Smile

THANKS SO MUCH PETER..Not only for listening, but for a friendship that inspires, and helps my music. Cant pay for that, cant buy that, its a gift we share. Z knows ALL to well what im saying.

It's a feedback loop Dace. I agree completely.

In fact the only reason Gotham Steel exists is because of Our Sanctum. I started it when I came back
from seeing you. Only the first two songs or so are in standard tuning (Forged and Fortress I think),
the rest are in Drop.

And likewise Damnation Allies came from listening to the instrumental albums you sent me.

I need to listen to this today! I'm in a phone meeting right now.....

We all inspire each other and make each other better.
Of course Peter's been around the block a few more times and knows how, what, and why more....

Being INSPIRED allways over-rides what one "knows".
And we make BETTER music that way.

On our own, we can only go SO far...Others have to take us to our HIGHEST points.

Why is ANYONE SO GREAT??? Its because (people) made them so, NOT themself!

Yes guys....I agree and understand this 100%.....and to me that is the value of this little forum Smile

Even it its just Dace, Z, Steve and me .....and nobody else wants to get in deep enough other than to post here occasionally (which is OK if you are reading this) we are achieving a deeper level of communication than you will get at other places. In fact this is really carrying on the best part of what the old Anubes set out to do.

At the end of the day when these posts are not even a memory we will have built a little part of each other into our music. Influence is a very powerful thing. It drives us to be more creative and enables us to each understand the others music and appreciate it more.

I really now wish that I had heard these tracks back in 2009 when they were made as I think they would have inspired me to make some more Darkstarcruiser tracks that were new instead of resurrecting older tracks for that album......but having said that they will inspire some thing in the not too distant future I am sure.

I think that learning from each other is paramount to progress and creativity and that is why we need to keep posting here.

Although I have no new tracks to post at the moment I think I have a small plan for the New Year.

I was thinking about making some little gear demos of my favourite stuff like effects pedals, guitar tone, Synth patches and sounds.....like samples only just snippets . We often discuss gear but it might be interesting just to hear our favourites .

I know that Z and Dace both use Line 6 effects a lot and I have been exploring guitar effects a bit more lately.
I will post more about this in due course but I have just ordered something to add to my guitar effects arsenal that is a bit different. I will say no more now but when I get it (hopefully by Xmas) and learn a bit more then I will try to demo it.

Would like to hear you guys doing something similar.....no need to make tracks .....just demo what you got perhaps with some chords and some lead improv. If you have any weird sounds now would be a good time to use them Smile

I think you might be interested in hearing also some of the beautiful and strange sounds that I can get from my hardware synths.

We could do these using Soundcloud Smile

Great Idea Peter, I only wish I had some Gear to demonstrate! LOL, but my music being 100% Computer made means my only bit of Gear is a Korg NanoKet midi controller. Maybe I could demo some of my fave soft synths Smile

Steve......Yes why not demo some of your soft synths. Anything interesting at all.

Why not tinker with them a bit and get creative.....for instance ...the HG Fortune synths have a Random button and you can get some completely origanal sounds using that function. Also you can alter setting for oscillators, filters and LFO's on most other soft synths and get your own sounds.

Just one thing......don't forget to save them as a preset so that you can use them later in a track Smile

Really like this one, lots of nice edgy twists and turns. Love all the changes and there are some just killer little guitar parts in there that just melt in your mouth they are so tasty.
