NI Reaktor
Wow, this thing is intense! I am checking out version 5 I think.
Looks pretty cool, and pretty complicated.
Can't get it to show up as an Audio Unit in Logic yet, but it is working stand-alone.
Thanks for the recommendation Peter!

Re: NI Reaktor
Z.....you got Reaktor ?????
Brilliant..............absolutely the best and biggest of all the computer synth programs on the planet
This is the one program that I find irreplacable as it is so versatile . You don't have to go too deep to use it but the more you try things out becomes a learning curve.
Check out the Space Drones in the Sound Generators folder and you will recognise sounds in some of my ambient space tracks.
Z.......I'm sure that this will change your entire world !!!!!!

Already working on a track using beat loops I generated in Reaktor.
You're right, the thing is amazing.
To start with I'm just using it for making beat loops, and probably designing my own simple synths from the oscillators on up.
I can't use the newest version because that only works on Intel Macs, but this version seems pretty good (5.0.0.7?)
Stay tuned. Working on a song called Chain Reaction now....

Re: NI Reaktor
I never got around to designing my own synths....that would take up too much of my time and I am sure that I couldn't really make anything better than those that are already in the program.
I do however program my own sounds in a lot of the synths using the presets as a template to start with.
You might find some of the sequenced synths like Blue Matrix quite interesting. You can get rhythmic synth beats rather than percussion and they work well sometimes with ambient chillout music.

Thanks! Yeah, I probably won't do anything that complicated... just screw around with the synth builder for fun.
So far I just went into Gobox and modified one of the presets two different ways.
Easy to get lost with too many options
