Re: Museum Of Russian Synths
Interesting site......Thanks for posting .....I have bookmarked it.
Most of the old Russian synths are analog and there are some good ones to be had.
Often you can find them on e-bay .......the Polyvoks is the most common one....its like a Russian Minimoog. Prices are getting high and quite often the seller is still in Russia. Would be difficult to get parts or repair I would imagine and very expensive.
This site is very comprehensive and I will have to give it further attention.
Personally I have enough synths right now and no room to expand.....oh and no spare cash !!!!

Yeah, some interesting stuff. I wonder how many of them use Tubes?
I'm with you on the "No Spare Cash" part

Interesting site indeed! The Russians made some good synths! I got some VSTi's based on some of them.

I don't think any synths were ever made with tubes (I assume you mean valves)
As far as I know all of the old analogue synths used transistors and it was the invention of digital chips that killed them off costwise.
I may be wrong.......and who the hell knows what the Russians used.....I believe there may be some circuit diagrams on that site if you really want to find out.
