Atomosphere -- Guarantees & Shoulda Known
I'm not a big hip-hop fan, but I love these two:

I love the idea of having this area to post links to other music . I often come across things that are cool or sometimes just weird or funny that I would share so I will certainly post stuff here.
I'm not a big hip hop or rap fan either but I liked it's origins from way back before gangsta rap when everybody started trying to rap with a bad attitude.
The first one was interesting and quite mellow with just a guitar. It reminded me of rapster (Joe) who did all those remixes on the Mix. He was quite a guitarist too and taught jazz guitar. He could have aesily made something along these lines.
I suspect that the second one of your vids may have appealed from the visual aspect rather than the musical
Here's two of my all time old skool favourites from 1989 :

Not a big fan of rap either, but I must admit I do like a bit of Eminem now and then

Yeah, funny you should mention Rapster GT. He's a good friend of mine too.
Although I've lost touch a bit.
When I first heard Brother Ali on the radio I thought for sure that it WAS Rapster.
Yeah that Tone Loc stuff is classic!!
Feel free to start threads here for anything you are into....
Here's another favorite of mine (as far as Hip Hop goes)
I love the "storyteller" type stuff when it comes to rap

Notorious B.I.G. aka Biggie Smalls........saw a movie about his life a few months back called Notorious.
Rapster and Margo......I did a collab with Rapster way back. I had a track called Mediterranean Blue and Joe contacted me and asked if he could use it for a collab. He had a strange way of doing a collab by taking a completed track and mixing over the top of it so it became more like a vocal remix.
Anyway he did a version called "Our Song" which was a love song dedicated to Margo. He was very proud of that song and for a long time he said it was one of his favourite collabs.
You can find him on Myspce under the name Rapstermusic.

They are both still on IndieMusicWorks too I think.
I left Mixposure when they got kicked off. And I was off it for a year until Dace got me to go back.
He's a good guy. Hell of a guitar player. And Margot's really cool.
