THE VOX
so i am learning this new software, and though it is easy to record vox...they never mix the way i want it. what is the best way to ajust the EQ: treb/mid/bass? i want it to peek just above the track without taking over or distorting...any advice? hope you know what i mean...

Just found this post so I hope it is not too late to be useful.
Adjusting the EQ can really only be done by trial and error as everybody's voice is different and you will need to find the best settings for your voice.
The problem may be elsewhere.....maybe try panning the instruments so that the vocals have their own space in the mix. If you have bass or drums in the same part of the stereo mix then the vocals will be drowned out.
Also experiment with the reverb as too much can also make the vocals get muddy and lost in the mix and none at all will be too dry.
Hope this helps

http://soundclick.com/share?songid=9146254 this is a clip it's short but there will be 3 vs etc. i want it loud but my voice is weaving in and out i'm going to double some parts and throw on some flange once i record all the vox. this was just a test run
Re: THE VOX
thanks by the way...hehe i need to redu the outro on the backing track because my puter crashed and that didn't save
Re: THE VOX
The track itself sounds good....it captures that 90's Dance scene well.
Should be nice when you get the mix issues sorted out.
