Well, I have looked around and played tons of Les Pauls lately....
Guitar Center here has literally about 30 Epiphone LPs, so I tried
most of those.

I've come to the conclusion that the type that feels and plays best
is the Epiphone Les Paul Standard. Black with a white raised pickguard
(if I get one, I'm taking the pickguard off -- might replace the white pickup
mounts with black ones too).

They have 2 or 3 at GC, but they are beat up.... so I'm talking to the guy
I know at Sweetwater, and saving up my nickles and dimes.... They are 40%
off there. Also checking for one around town....

They look like this:

but i like the white pickups haha. it's a nice one Z...hope you find a good deal! never pay full price, because there is always someone with a fair one out there! have you looked at amazon.com? i get amazing deals on stuff. things that would be 40 to 60$ i got for less then 20$ etc. not to forget great shipping deals or even free shipping if you spend a certain amount in their store. just thought i'd mention it. they seem to have everything...i ordered allot of my lawn decor from amazon.

Hey GinN! I usually get good deals. Not as great as the ones Dace gets!
I have sold a bunch of stuff on eBay, but not bought much....

Heck I got that Marshall Tube Amp off Craigslist for a steal. Smile

Plenty of Les Pauls on Craigslist, but most of them are Sunburst...
Need a blacker than black one.

Cool! Thanks GinN. Yeah I know a guy at Sweetwater... he is good at
picking out the right one when I need one....

It's going to be a few weeks I think. I need to shuffle cash into paypal
and such so the wife doesn't freak out about credit card bills...

Paypal is pretty easy. You can hook it up to a bank account. Then
you just transfer money (on the paypal website) from your bank account
into the payal account (it takes 3 days to do it for free).

Then you can use paypal to pay for stuff online (not everywhere, but a lot
of places take it). Most people that use eBay use Paypal.

I just have some money from each paycheck go into my credit union account,
and then when I need to I transfer some into paypal. That way I can pay
online without using any credit cards....

yeah GinN. you can sign up for paypal and hook it to your bank account.
it won't do anything until you tell it to. it's a good way to get paid when
you sell on eBay.

you don't need to talk to your bank, you can do it all at paypal.

Well I stumbled upon a KILLER DEAL on a KILLER guitar...
All I can say it is is NOT a Les Paul or a Gibson or an Epiphone....

Stay tuned.... should have it in a week or two.

It SCREAMS METAL. Big Time. And plays like a dream.
