OK...What I have in mind.

TONS of reasons for this. Most you know about.

OK...Plan is to build up a stock-pile of guitars and amps.
I have NO job, little money, but ya ALL know i STILL find gear CHEAP!

When I (HAVE) gear, it REALLY helps when i need to pay a bill, i can pawn--loan and do so. Then later get my gear out.
BUT! as you know from the past, theres come a TIME i just cant get my stuff out and its HISTORY! and for very little money of its worth.

SO...Im gathering guitars and Amps. Im cleaning and fixing them up.
Then there FOR SALE! But, at the price there worth. that is NOT the price they bring.
I want TOP $ for me stuff. Its MINE, and needs to stay around so i can build a STOCK up. And if and when one sells, im GOOD...pay bills, take 25% to rebuy more.
(NOT over pricing) Im just not there GREAT DEAL guy! I buy from those types.
BUY LOW-SELL HIGH, RIGHT!??? Right.

Im on my way with this..Heres a breakdown on MY price, and what i must have for the item.
1-ROLAND-$50- Price-$300.00
2-LINE6 FLEXTONE-$107.00- Price-$350.00
3-LINE6 AX2-$90- Price-$200.00 (has minor-probs)
4-70s Peavey-PA-cab-$40- Price 200.00
5-BC RICH-$40- Price-$350.00
6-LOTUS-$60- Price-$250.00
7-KENT-$90- Price-$250.00

As I get enuff built up, prices can go down a tad.
Need to have enuff to USE-SELL-and PAWN.

ALSO...I can pawn gear to buy other gear if i dont have cash right then.
ALSO..Trades are the BEST way to make money with gear. (iv been offered 1000$-items for 200 dollar ones in the past).

The fact that im fixing them up helps also..I have parts to sell i dont need or want.

This idea works in many ways. BUT, i must get a stock built up.
If i get overloaded, i can pop-them out cheap, or pawn then off, and carry on.

The TRICK to this is dont get in a HURRY! selling OR buying....Slowly build up stock, wait for a big sale.

Im going to get Cards to give music stores and pawn shops that state- I BUY BROKE GUITARS AND AMPS. I know NOBODY around here doing that. They wont take the time, and dont know how to do this with little money. I DO...

Im off to a GRAND START!
Ebay-Craigs list-Fleamarkets-Pawnshops- all part of this.

Ran the BC RICH for 360.00-40shiping...300 views..Did NOT sell, and thats GREAT!
Thats what it will go for, or very near that. NO HURRY.

Also my pic taking skills help , and posting a track of the gear in action. (as Peter brought up).

KEY is to make my guitars look different than any other online. Small things can do just that.

Some guitars are best left stock! in those cases, ill do that. FENDERS-GIBSONS-IBANEZ, have many that sell best STOCK..just clean them, post them, play then while i wait..

Also gona post guitars on guitar site that let you do that..Like the IBANEZ Forum. Gear sites are great places to get the "right" price for your item.

MAIN THING...Dont get in a hurry..HOLD them guitars! As LONG as i can.

And look..IF someone pays THE price for an item, then you KNOW its going to someone that wants and cares for it. NOT to someone to making money off of it. I LOVE and CARE about gear. Its time it GAVE back to me for that.
Im gona work hard at this.
TIME it will take. and i have some of that i hope.

Got one guitar in the works... wait till you SEE THIS ONE!... Posted the body here allready, but just WAIT!... All parts found and waiting till next week to order. this one will show something different. HOT GUITAR on the way..

Steve..Since i was 18, half of ALL money iv made came from gear. its NOT a new thing for me, just looking at it as a REAL way to make it. Never did befor.

Its something i have been doing years! just did not look at it right. I should own 10 music stores by now.

I dont need a store-front at all....I just need the money one might bring in.

Butch my friend that owns a store made a 1/4MILL last year...
Thats pretty good man. And he runs it ALONE! NOT BIG! so, theres money to be made.

So good to see you doing this DACE....I believe that this should work well for you.

Of course it takes time to build it up and get it running but it will be time well spent.

Glad you will be using my idea of demoing the gear. A video of you doing it would be good. Lots of people do this now on You Tube with a link back to E-bay to make the sale.

You can do killer demos so it should work for you.

The pictures are helping the most because in getting TONS of views.

Its great because I have 3 or 4 different places to try and sell.

I need to keep then coming (in) faster than they go (out).
In-low-cash, out-high-cash.

And the fact i will have something to fall-back on if i need cash fast. (loaning-pawn).

You do know how to SHOWCASE guitars with GREAT pics.
So many postings have blurry, crappy, badly lit pictures that make good guitars look like crap.

You have a great eye for what looks good on a guitar.

I will be sending you extra parts from time to time as I upgrade.
Sure I could sell them for a few bucks here and there, but it's not worth my time when you can
use them far better.

And the cards are a great idea as well!!!!

There are a few other things im doing along with all this also.

Gona (age) some parts. Do some re-cutting of bodies. Reshaping Necks and headstocks....But need to gather a few tools and stuff. (on the side type stuff).

Also might do some bulk-trading with music stores at some point. Trade them 10 guitars im not able to sell for 2 or 3 that WILL sell FAST! and for more money.

Come to find out, alot of smaller music-stores are buying like crazy right now, and trading is SUPER right now.
