My 1980s-Lotus-METAL-Super Strat (Build)

Just ordered the pickguard and pup..
Keys came from rick.
Not gona tell to much more on it right now. Be a suprise.
I will post pics when its done.

Heres the (Before) pics.
Key are installed, and a FUNGUS logo i did.. (not shown in pics)
This is a METAL Build...Tuning will be DropC.

This guitar is built like my KENT...NOT cheap build...Very nice body and neck.
Same as KENT, 20 bucks... I will have about 100 bucks in it, just like the KENT.....

The way im doing it, YES it is.,.... You will like.
But with this stupid snow, be a few more days than it would have been.
They have having to "make" my guard tho, so....be a week at best.
Im Excited as shit about it.....AND if the product is what eveyone says it is, I found a good company for parts, and building guiatrs up... Prices are SUPER great..

yeah that much snow down there is going to shut down the whole area.
Up here we've got 500 snowplows on the highway when that happens (it still sucks, but it's off the main roads pretty fast).

I got in in 4 days and it was CUSTOM built for me. Added the snow and all..FAST!

I am REALLY wanting to post pix NOW, But i need to get a jack-plate, some pickgaurd screws and string it up before i do so...It looks SOOOooooo

The LEAD pickup is said to be VERY HOT! and thats perfect for it being a METAL guitar!....Im VERY excited, did NOT think it would get here today or i would get off the mountain. WWWWWWWHHhhhhhEEEeeeeeee....GUITARS!..love them.

PIX ASAP.....A day or so, then some METALish TUNES!...

Just checked out Steve's brilliant new track too.....looks like things are coming to life here again at last

Got all wires routed, ground, jack, and im headed to get a few things later and then stringing it up.. Looks SOOOoooo Good.

The company i used is TNT-Guitar Parts Online. Its a music store and he makes the pickgaurs in his shop, and makes his pickups also. Prices are SUPER great, and his product is VERY VERY NICE! Pro stuff, NOT cheap low grade stuff..ALSO..MADE IN USA


I could not be more happy. Paid 45.00 for what I order. That compairs to guitar Centers 150.00!!! And GC has the lowest price i found besides TNT.

Sounds great! FENDER string i like for clean, HATE for METAL...To tingy sounding. But its all i had. And i broke the high E while installing a trem spring.. another think about FENDER strings! High Es break TO easy..This guitar will get GHS strings!

These were a set of 3X3s that i installed 6 in a line.. It worked fine. First 3 turn backwards, but there great keys. There the OLDer S-made in germany kind. THANKS RICK.. Got the White pup to match the logo.

Neck plays SUPER! i have some truss-rod adjusting to do still. But it plays easy.

Very METAL look, but still classic.

Im happy with it... Right now its tuned to DropD, not C because the strings are 10, i might leave it tuned there and build a more MOD guitar for DropC??

Really looks the biz DACE.....love that pickguard with the black body.

Thanks guys...It was easy on what pickups to get because it was allways in my mind to have it for heavy music. SO, all i use is the leads pup, hum is best for heavy.

The "look" part i put alot of thought onto...Being black, it need some flash, was going to go ALL black but thought that would be boring. So i went with the black-pear. The white pup was to match the logo but also make it POP out on the guitar since its the only on on it. Black would have looked good, but blended in to much. So the pup add to the gaurds "pop".

Bling, is the crome...I think its as good as it could look. Crom Knob will be added soon and that will give it some more bling. Also NEW crom screws around the gaurd..ALL the little things are what make a guitar REALLY look great. Those two things will finsh it up.

I have a few hours work setting the neck, bridge, saddles still to do..But i must have the right set of strings to do that.

After the ting of these strings calms down, ill do a tune/demo or something. But it will a few weeks before i get it perfect and start in doing heavy tunes. Need to get back in the groove of heavy drop playing also.

This guitar looks SO nice setting next to my RED kent.. they comp each other very well.
