Yours is a Laurel (says Out of Stock).....this one is an Encore...well known cheap brand.

6 string lead with Trem....looks cool...but looks aint everything

Bet its not very comfortable with that body shape and length.

The Encore costs almost twice as much!!!! ( $324 )

You can't really compare them except that they are the same type of shape modelled on an AK47.

One is a Bass and the other a 6string with3 pickups and a Trem and we don't know the quality of either except that Encore is a brand well known in the UK.....you can even find Encores in Argos !!!!

According to the shop on E Bay these should be £299 and are on offer at £199.

Personally they are not something I would buy but each person sees things differently Steve.

Much prefer my AXL Strat at under £100.....now that was a cool one off bargain

I prefer your AXL Strat too, Peter. OTT gimicky guitars were OK in 80's hair metal bands but you don't see as much crazyness in guitar shapes these days (Not in the bands I follow, anyway!)

Some people would think that the AXL Strat is being sold for its distressed look as a gimmick.

I must admit the look appealed to me but that's not what sold it to me. Because I liked the look and wanted a Strat type guitar I checked out the reviews and videos to ffind out what it played like and sounded like.
It got fantastic reviews for a budget guitar and when I saw a shop acually selling them to clear at a further discount I moved fast. It was money well spent and I would recommend this guitar even at the list price.

There are other guitars that are being sold with a distressed finish.....Vintage do a nice Strat and they are not over expensive and I think Squier have one as well now. But the AXL beats them all on price and the quality is pretty good too. You can find some shops selling them on e-bay.
